Members of the Taliban, who have held power in Afghanistan since August, opened fire to break up a women’s demonstration in the Afghan capital Kabul today, Tuesday (Dec. 28), Afghan news agency Asvaka reported.
According to the agency, the incident occurred near the hospital of the Italian non-governmental organization ‘Emergency’.
There are no reports of deaths or injuries so far, according to APA-MPA.
The TOLOnews television network reported earlier that several dozen women demonstrated in Afghanistan’s capital to demand that their rights be respected.
