LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police say dozens of rounds were fired during a deadly shootout on Monday morning that began when officers were executing a search warrant related to a 2021 homicide investigation.
19-year-old Isaiah Tyree Williams was shot and killed during the incident around 5 a.m. Police say he is not the homicide suspect and that the homicide suspect was not in the building at the time, though they say they were inside the correct apartment.
Two officers were shot by Williams, who authorities say, fired first.
Williams is said to have fired 18 rounds. Police fired 23 rounds total during the incident.
