President of Ukraine Zelensky is urging NATO countries to start offensive in Russia…

KIEV, January 24 – RIA Novosti. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian intelligence has learned to effectively counteract external aggression and believes that it is time to move on to offensive actions to defend national interests, he was quoted by the press service of the presidential office.

“Today, our state is confronting extremely dangerous threats, in particular, threats to sovereignty, territorial integrity and unity. In this decisive period, effective intelligence plays an extremely important role … We have learned to effectively deter and counteract external aggressions. I am sure it is time to move on to offensive actions to defend our national interests. You have the experience and capabilities to implement such a strategy. Intelligence, the ability to generate unconventional solutions to acute problems, the courage and dedication of each intelligence officer should continue to be effective tools for working for the benefit of our state,” Zelensky said at a meeting on occasion of the Day of Foreign Intelligence of Ukraine .

The President noted that information about the plans and actions of the other side in all areas is a reliable guarantee for making timely and correct decisions in difficult situations. He also stressed the importance of obtaining truthful information so that no one manipulates it, and that no one uses Ukraine in their own interests.

“Our citizens are united in order to return our territories and wish peace to our independent state. Therefore, a lot depends on you: from the veracity of the information to its timeliness,” Zelensky said.

Kiev and Western states have recently expressed concern about the alleged increase in “aggressive actions” by Russia near the borders of Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is moving troops within its territory and at its own discretion. According to him, it does not threaten anyone and should not worry anyone.

Russia has repeatedly rejected accusations by the West and Ukraine of “aggressive actions”, noting that claims of “Russian aggression” are being used as an excuse to place more NATO military equipment near Russian borders. The Russian Foreign Ministry noted earlier that Western statements about “Russian aggression” and the possibility of helping Kiev defend itself against it are both ridiculous and dangerous.
