Santo Domingo, DR – Dominican Republic’s National Police apprehended early Tuesday morning in the municipality of Los Alcarrizos a man, who in the middle of a brawl originated by a vehicle crash, fired a gunshot to the head of a 16-year-old teenager, while he was being accompanied by her 22-year-old son, both of whom were captured on video while the brawl was being recorded.
The 42-year-old detainee, Ramon Alberto De Oleo, was caught on record when he fired a single shot to the head of the teenage girl. The firearm used was a CZ pistol, caliber 9mm, 1326, with a current license to carry and possess.
The aforementioned gun was seized during the detention process. In his statement, De Oleo told investigators that it was not his intention to pull the trigger. The brawl broke out after De Oleo’s black Mercedes Benz crashed with the victim’s vehicle on Duarte street in the Invi sector, Los Alcarrizos.
He also alleges that it was after his son Luis De Oleo Pineda, 22 years old, stepped up of the vehicle when the brawl started.
The police indicated that the accused will be brought to justice in the next few hours, via the Public Prosecutor’s Office. He will be sentenced to a coercive measure.
