Canadian province premier willing to start lifting vaccine restrictions… provokes outrage among experts

On Saturday, Premier Scott Moe of Saskatchewan (a Canadian province that borders the US) shared a letter penned in support of the truck convoy protest taking place in Ottawa over the weekend.

In the letter, Moe claimed vaccines are not stopping COVID-19 transmission and signaled he intends to lift the province’s proof of vaccination rules.

“Vaccination does not keep you from contracting COVID-19, but it does prevent most people from becoming seriously ill,” said Moe.

“Because vaccination is not reducing transmission, the current federal policy for truckers makes no sense. An unvaccinated trucker does not pose any greater risk of transmission than a vaccinated trucker.”
