In a dubious maneuver of obvious overreaction, the separatist leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, today ordered the “massive” evacuation to Russia of civilians residing in the enclave explaining that the cause is due to Ukrainian troops “planning an offensive”.
He also urged “the inhabitants capable of taking up arms” to get ready to “defend the republic”.
The secessionist administration has denounced the violation of the ceasefire in the last 24 hours by the Ukrainian Army, against which they continue to fight after a contest that caused more than 13,000 deaths in 2014.
