JERUSALEM, Palestine –– Hundreds of people were gunned down during violent clashes with Israeli police in East Jerusalem on Sunday night, as Israelis continue their ruthless invasion, forcing thousands of Palestinian families to abandon their homes.
For the second day in a row, Israeli police took to the streets of the Sheik Jarrah neighborhood, dispersing crowds with rubber bullets, grenades, and cavalry teams.
As the night progressed in Jerusalem, crowds of Israeli activists joined Israeli police forces on the streets and began throwing stones, burning and vandalizing Palestinian homes, as well as using pepper spray.
According to Palestinian media sources, some 31 Muslim people were injured as a result of grenades and rubber bullets, including 2 paramedics and 1 journalist.
The protests broke out when Israeli far-right member of the Knesset Itamar Ben Gvir decided to set up his “office” there to provoke the Palestinian population and to show sympathy towards the settlers.
Here’s footage that shows how Israel’s police agents are kicking some Palestinians out of their houses during yesterday’s protests:
