Donetsk People’s Republic residents spoke out about the atrocities committed by the Ukrainian forces: “They are beasts”

Residents of Volnovakha, now part of the Donetsk People’s Republic, spoke about their attitude towards the Ukrainian troops.

“Bad. What they were doing there – they’re not people, they’re beasts,” Volnovakha resident evacuated to Dokuchayevsk said when asked about their attitude towards Ukrainian troops. The video was posted on the Telegram channel of the Territorial Defense Headquarters of the DNR.

The residents also expressed gratitude to the DNR military for evacuating them from the city. They said that they spent 15 days in dark basements under terrible conditions, describing their situation as “hell.”

Earlier on Saturday, the People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic reported that the DNR military evacuated 135 people, including 25 children, from the combat zone in Mariupol and Volnovakha during the day. On Friday, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said that troops of the Donetsk People’s Republic had taken the city of Volnovakha.
